Aspire Allied Health is a Gold Coast based,  locally owned business providing Allied Health professional services to NDIS participants and state-based children's services. 

Aspire provides therapeutic support for young people in Out of Home Care and NDIS participants.

The Aspire Allied Health Therapy Assistant will contribute to participant care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of Aspire AH professionals. The role exists to provide clinical services within the allocated service team structure to support children and adults with disabilities to meet their identified need/s. The scope of the role includes provision of a range of specialist clinical services in collaboration with Aspire AH’s professionals within the context of team structure, which includes the participant/family/carer.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III Allied Health Assistance

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disabilities and their families
  • Experience in implementing allied health programs
  • Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in basic Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated ability to working independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Current Driver’s License (at least C - Car).
  • Current Queensland Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening), or valid exemption.
  • Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children), or valid exemption.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Our NDIS Community Services Support Workers will provide support to NDIS funded participants, promoting choice and control and assisting participants in achieving their personal goals. The role’s overall purpose is to provide individuals with a disability, greater choice, control, and freedom over their lives. You will provide support for participants that is community-based, dignified, person-centered and reflects the individual needs, preferences, and skills of people with disabilities and those who support them. Support Workers also responsible for ensuring that reporting is provided accurately and in a timely way that meets organisational guidelines.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Cert IV or above in community services or individual support.
  • Ability to transport participants to a range of different services and appointments.
  • Ability to support participants with capacity building, assisting participants in achieving their personal goals as stated within their NDIS plan.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Strong knowledge of participants needs across the lifespan and cultural considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people to overcome complex situations and problems.
  • Ability to work autonomously to complete tasks within set timeframes.
  • Current Driver’s License (at least C - Car).
